Section Induction Experience

All current Arrowmen are invited to participate in our Section Induction Experience (SIE),  being hosted by Ta Tsu Hwa Lodge at Mabee Scout Reservation, located near Locust Grove, OK, the weekend of August 28-30, 2026.

G4’s SIE Registration is now open, at $35, through August 16th.

You’ve probably heard that the OA’s Ordeal Experience is being changed.  The best way to learn about the changes, and even reinvigorate yourself as an active Arrowman, is to come be part of a Section Induction Experience.  We have a goal of hosting 10% of our section’s membership, which is about the size of a Conclave. Each G4 lodge should include at least one full ceremony team (with Luminaries for each 8 expected local candidates; 48 expected candidates for your LIE means bringing 6 future Luminaries), and don’t forget the alternate members.

This is a National event, using their program, which is still a bit fluid. The most current information is on their New Induction page, including other registered locations if someone cannot make the G4 SIE. With that said, figure on what a typical Section Conclave is, for length and packing list. (The good thing is we’ll get an improved experience, after adjustments by the earliest sections.)

Bring your Medical Parts A/B to turn in. Lodges will tent in their own campsite, using your own tents and cots (pads/platforms available). [Housing details still being finalized.] If a lodge cannot satisfy overnight gender supervision, prior arrangements can be made to ensure female Arrowmen can attend.

The SIE is a one-time offering, but will intend to have each lodge then offer it to their membership, even closer to you, as part of training and certifying their own ceremony teams.  This is not a “come watch” event as you’ll have the same program as our future brothers will get, but maybe not as physical.  Nearly all the Arrowmen that have attended an NIE have very favorable feedback on the new Induction, and the impact to their Scouting participation.

Please note: All meals are included in the full registration starting with Friday night Cracker Barrel. 

All fees will be collected by the Section at time of registration. All Scouting America Medicals Part A&B will be collected through participant’s home lodge and must be submitted to your lodge contingent leader prior to SIE.
